Hello!

My name is Darlene and I live on the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the West Indies.  I am a plantain farmer

I have noticed that I have slugs and borers in the bodies of some of my plantains.  Of course I see them when cutting down the tree after fruiting.  Our Agriculture Dept. recommends the use of chemicals to kill pest problems here that I do not consider safe.
