@guest: The best way to handle treatments in pool area would be to apply the ECO Granules to the turf surrounding the pool. Next, lightly apply the ECO Aerosol around the decking where the spiders are seen. If you apply the aerosol while standing in the pool, the spray will be moving away from the water and as long as there was no breeze during the application, the chance of any filtering back to the water would be minimized. Additionally, the active in this product is essentially food grade components so it won't contaminate the water even if some did get onto the surface area. If you treated late in the evening and some did filter back to the water, by the next day people could use the pool fine with no hazard being present.
I wouldn't recommend a dust in this situation because I'm sure some would filter down into the water since it's so much heavier compared to the aerosol. I'm sure the water would likely neutralize it on contact but dust in the water is messy and should be avoided. Links to the recommended products are above and can be purchased on line through our shopping cart.

Hello, I live in Southern California and have a problem with Black Widows and other spiders making nest in the rocks around the edge of my swimming pool. Is there a safe product, a spray or dust to kill these spider that won't harm the swimming pool? Your advice is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Tony
